The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof." - Richard Bach

not even kidding

Went to a beautiful wedding out at a ranch on Saturday... and then:
  • The wedding locale was WAY out there so we didnt' have time to stop for gas. I was sure we would run out on the way there or not be able to leave, but we were on time.

  • Wedding was fab.

  • Miah was asleep on a table around midnight so it was time to head for home. Fingers crossed that we'd make it to gas station.

  • Tire is flat on gravel road by ranch exit. ugh.

  • Can't get donut off. ugh.

  • Get my dad from wedding so he can shine his brights for us. Get donut on. ahhh.

  • Make it to gas station. ahhh.

  • Headlight burns out. ugh.

  • Driving home and pulled over for having headlight out. ugh.

  • Given citation for headlight. ugh.

  • If we go to court to show light is fixed then we won't have to pay a fine. ahhh.

  • 7 miles from home and donut tire goes flat. ugh.

  • Dad is following us so we stuff all of us into the car to finish the trek. ahhh.

We put everyone in bed around 2am. We didn't get out of bed until 11:30am and fixed the car up Sunday afternoon.

Now, I could have been stressed but how when 1) I didn't cry at all through the ordeal and 2) WE SLEPT IN UNTIL 11:30AM....WOW! Now that is worth celebrating.

we should be a reality show.
