The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof." - Richard Bach

I'm not dead

Hope you missed me. I like blogging. I like reading other blogs and commenting. I like scanning Facebook to see what everyone is up to. But I was noticing that I was getting a little compulsive. So, much like someone who likes to drink stops drinking for a gut check "am I an alcoholic" I stepped away from my web world a bit. I didn't go cold turkey. I am still doing wedding planning/inviting via internet. But after a week I do feel confident that I am in control of my blog addiction, um I mean... hobby. Experiment over.

So this week where have I been?:

1) Working a lot. I am trying to get far enough out that I can be guilt free when I take time off in the fall.

2) Outside. Its FINALLY feeling like spring so I've spent as much time as possible outside. This means reading on the porch swing, playing basketball. This also means that Zeph is covered with cuts and bruises. I explained to the daycare why I shouldn't be turned into social services for child abuse. Zeph crashed his scooter which meant roadrash on his side and on his arm. An hour later when he was warned not to walk in front of the swingset (when he was actually busted trying to poke his swinging sister in the foot with a stick), he was kicked in the face by a flying foot. He has a cut above his eye, on his nose, and a semi swollen eye. All of this shows up like a neon sign because of his albino-esque skin coloring as well.

3) Crafting. I made my fascinator for the wedding AND IT ROCKS! These suckers cost anywhere from $30 to $170 online, but I made mine for less than 10 bucks. And I love it. I am trying to put together a veil too with tulle and some spray glue. Its coming along.

4) Parenting. Duh.

See you tomorrow bloggers.

  1. Oh cool, can we see a picture of the fascinator?

I hope Zeph is recovering nicely; you had me lol.

It is interesting to hear about your life.

Please come by my Wednesday Wisdom meme I created. XD

  2. Genetics-Remember when your grade school nurse was excited that you were leaving Great Bend to move to St. John. You were the permanent fixture for accident prone medical visits. How many kids does one know that could talk constantly and run into another child and demolish herself on the playground? Kortney.
